pyontan 0.5.1 Changelog

Small hotfixing and minor redesigning, didn't want to give it a big version bump considering there's a lot of small things but nothing particularly significant. However some pretty big and important fixes came out of this version. Maybe looking in retrospect I shouldn't have only bumped it by 0.0.1... Oh well!

Additions:

App:

• Add-ons section added to Home Window listing the downloads you don't have yet (won't be there if you have every add-on)
• pyontan now suggests getting an add-on if it'd help and your PC could handle it (like GPU Acceleration if you have a good enough GPU)
• Installing PaddleOCR/GPU Accel will automatically set it from the main menu
• Home's sections can be folded away
• Batch translate now actually queues folders (I couldn't believe I didn't write that up before, all this time!)

Dashboard:

• You can now install pyontan on phone (not an actual mobile app but as a PWA) for both Android and iOS
• Uploads section now exists and shows translates being queued, uploading, translating, failed, done or stopped

Updated:

App:

• The Getting Started note shows while OCR capture is Windows, lets you know Paddle doesn't need it

Dashboard:

• New logo, it's the same color but now it has 兎 (usagi) for rabbit instead of a. I didn't bother before to be honest
• Recent activity on the dashboard covers the last 2 weeks only and repeated uploads are stacked
• On phone, the download button now is to download for mobile instead of linking to the PC download, it was pointless bruh
• Conjugations moved from Study to Lookup, next to the Dictionary and Translator

Fixes:

App:

• Quick Translate's romaji has been fixed and reads properly (っ doesn't get read as tsu)
• Pronunciation and sentence audio (TTS) were failing because I made a fuck up

Dashboard:

• Quick Translate's romaji has been fixed and reads properly (っ doesn't get read as tsu)
• Fixed some of the buttons
• The locked AI Conversation page said you're on the wrong tier to everyone
• Deleting a title from library would bring the title back without a category, uploads and library are connected differently now so that this doesn't happen (remains in Uploads but not in Library)
