This is how to delete your pyontan account and everything on it, whether you use pyontan on the website, the
Android app or the Windows app. They all share the one account.
How
- Sign in at pyontan.com (in the Android app, the same pages are inside the app).
- Open Settings > Danger zone.
- Under Delete account, type your email address (and your password, if your account has one) and press Delete
my account.
It happens straight away and can't be undone. If you can't sign in any more, send a request through the
feedback page from the email address on the account, and I'll delete it for you.
What's deleted
- Your account: email address, username, display name, password hash, passkeys, two-factor settings, avatar,
banner, bio and settings.
- Your sessions and sign-ins, and any Discord or Patreon link.
- Your library: uploads, pages, translations, titles you shared, reading positions and your reading list.
- Your Study progress: answers, reviews, lesson notes, known words and vocabulary backups.
- Your notebook: your notes, and the words, sentences and AI Tutor answers you saved.
- What you wrote or did on other people's titles and profiles: comments, reviews, votes and follows.
- Your notifications, AI conversations, recent AI Tutor answers, and your AI and Live Audio usage records.
A paid plan is cancelled at the same time: one bought on the website ends straight away, and one bought through
Google Play in the Android app stops renewing (Google Play runs it to the end of the month already paid for).
What's kept
- Reports and feedback you sent stay, since they're about someone else's content or the site, but no longer
point to you.
- Payment records stay with the payment provider (Stripe or Google) for as long as the law requires them to keep
them.
- Copies in the database's backups are removed as the backups are replaced.
Deleting only some of it
You don't have to delete the account to remove part of it: Settings > Danger zone can reset your Study progress,
Settings > Basic removes your avatar and banner, and anything in your library can be deleted from the library.
